ECB policymakers set monthly PEPP purchase target of €60-€70 billion – Reuters

Citing three sources familiar with the matter, Reuters reported on Thursday that the European Central Bank (ECB) policymakers agreed on a Pandemic Emergency Purchase Programme (PEPP) monthly target of €60 to €70 billion. 

For the past two quarters, the ECB has been buying €80 billion worth of bonds per month.

Market reaction

The EUR/USD pair's reaction to this headline was largely muted. As of writing, the pair was trading at 1.1833, rising 0.17% on a daily basis.
