EM central banks activity in the upcoming week – TDS
FXStreet (Edinburgh) - Richard Kelly, Head of Global Strategy at TD Securities, reviewed the upcoming central bank meetings in the EM space.
Key Quotes
“We will have rate decisions from the Bank Indonesia, the CBRT, and the SARB”.
“We are in line with consensus, though, in looking for no change from any of the three, although there is a slight risk of a rate cut from BI on the back of weakening growth”.
“The CBRT is almost definite to be uncontroversial heading into the 7 June election, while with inflation back to the middle of the target, there is little reason for the SARB to sound any more hawkish than in the March MPC”.
