US equities rising Friday
FXstreet.com (New York) - The US stock market has continued to rise tepidly Friday, in the absence of any US data or market moving events.
Beginning with the indices and composites, today the NASDAQ rose +0.18% as it settles in region of 3675.75, up +6.68 points in these moments. In addition, the S&P 500 is trading in positive territory, operating at 1698.68, ascending +0.91 points or +0.05% at the time of writing. Finally, the Dow Jones has moved higher at the opening, trading in the zone of 15498.34, presently +0.01% after a movement of +1.08 points.
Sectors are all higher at the opening, however the Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors have distinguished themselves as the winners thus far, rising +0.82% and +0.37% respectively. Moreover, the price of gold has settled at $1309.48 per oz., while silver is now negotiating a spot price of $20.30 per oz. Friday.
