FXstreet.com (London) - Emmanuel Ng for OCBC explained that after a volatile session, the USD ended lower against the majors with the antipodeans also bouncing off intra-day lows to outperform strongly across the board.

Asian equities fall

Earlier in the global session, widespread losses in Asian equities had raised the level of risk aversion and supported the broad dollar but a subsequent rise in US equities (on the back of better than expected May retail sales numbers and lower than expected weekly initial claims) fuel positive investor sentiment.
