NZD/USD to fall to the 0.75 area by year-end - Westpac

FXStreet (Bali) - Imre Speizer, FX Strategist at Westpac, expects NZD/USD to fall during the next few months to the 0.75 area before a more sustained bounce to 0.80.

Key Quotes

"We expect NZD/USD to fall during the next few months to the 0.75 area, but then rebound during 2015 to above 0.80, largely following the path of commodity prices."

"Our short-to-medium term outlooks for NZD/USD usually take into account NZ commodity prices, NZ interest rates, and risk sentiment."

"We examine these in unison via our fair value model, and provide some evidence the commodity price is the most important factor. We then individually examine the outlook for each explanatory factor."
